Summary

Borderlands Zero is a Teesside University Project where we were tasked to do a Borderlands Theme "Vertical Slice", grouped in teams of 20 people 10 Artists and 10 Designers.

Borderlands Zero is a fast-paced action shooter where you clear enemies in the different areas of the level to proceed to the next area of the level.

Game Design

Level Design:

 

Final Boss area

  • Research and Document on the Final Boss area

  • Mesh blockout the Final boss area.

  • Animation the Circle gateway. 

  • Made the blockout module within the time frame.

  • polishing and fixing bugs.

  • Communicating with Lead Artist on how we are making the environment.

Animation

  • Did hand key animation on a bird 3d mesh.

  • Did First person setup animation blueprint.

  • Customised first person animation with in the unreal engine.

  • Pulsing and fixing bugs.

UI Design

  • Armour, health and special ability Bar 

  • Gun User-interface 

  • Objective System 

  • Research and implemented 

  • Polishing and fixing bugs

Tech Game Art 

  • Developed the black line shader and cross-hatch shader

  • Research on how to develop the black line Shader and cross- Hatch Shader
